I Am Addicted to My Wii Fit

Okay, I confess, I am a mother of a 4 year old daughter and she can already navigate the Wii by herself. She doesn’t put the games in but once she tells me what game she wants I put it in for her. I stick with active games that keep her active as I know how important physical exercise is.

She loves the Wii fit as much as mommy does. We each have our own “mii” character that is programmed into the system. She loves the aerobics games, like hula hooping or running. You should see this little girl running on the spot with her wii remote in her hand. It is the cutest thing.

Now my favorite games on the wii fit is yoga or the balance games. The strength training is cool too. You get your own personal trainer and can choose between a guy or a girl. Sometimes we do the 2 player run in the aerobics menu to see who “wins”. We both love the wii fit.

Now when it’s nice outside we do real running outside kicking a ball around the yard or other exercises, but in the winter or rainy weather we do the wii.

We also love this game on the will called “Active Life, Outdoor Challenge” That one is a blast as well. It is more unstructured but also a LOT of exercise while having fun. There are all kinds of games that 2 people can play together with. THe mine cart adventure is fun, as well as the mole stomper. There is log leaper, jump rope, wall climbing and more.

Nintendo has come a long way since the official game console of the 80’s, which, yes I had. Who can resist Mario? I still love the original and newer Mario games out there.

It looks like my daughter will be growing up with a Nintendo as I had one as a child. Although hers will be helping keep her active as well. An added bonus.
